MY NAME IS GENE BOWEN, GO BY ((LONGHORN )) ON THE FORUM.I NEED SOME HELP FROM ALL YOU NUTCASES OUT THERE. Q97 COUNTRY RADIO STATION HERE IN REDDING CALIF IS DOING A CONTEST CALLED LIVE ON IT TO WIN IT CONTEST. THERE PUTTING 8 PEOPLE ON A PATIO BOAT FOR TWO WEEKS. THE LAST ONE ON THE BOAT WINS THE BOAT. SOUNDS EASY RIGHT,(( WRONG)) THE ONY THING YOU CAN TAKE ON THE BOAT IS THE CLOTHES YOUR WEARING, SLEEPING BAG AND PILLOW.10 MIN BREAKS EVERY 3 HOURS. ALSO THE BOATS NOT ON THE WATER ITS WILL BE SETTING IN THE MT SHASTA MALL IN REDDING PARKING LOT. AT THE END OF TEN DAYS IF THERE IS MORE THEN ONE PERSON LEFT ON THE BOAT THEY WILL AWARD THE BOAT TO THE ONE WITH THE MOST MONEY IN THERE CHARITY. MY CHARITY IS THE HUMANE SOCIETY. THIS IS WHERE YOU NUTCASES COME IN. I NEED ALL THE HELP I CAN GET ,AND IT IS A GREAT CHARITY.I KNOW COOCH LOVES DOGS AFTER FINDING THE ONE AT OROVILLE. YOU CAN GO TO Q97COUNTRY.COM AND THEY WILL HAVE LIVE VIDEO FROM THE BOAT GOING TO THE INTERNET 24/7 SO YOU CAN SET RIGHT AT HOME WATCH THE SHOW. BY THE WAY THEY INFORMED ME TODAY THERE WILL BE 5 WOMAN AND 3 GUYS ON A 20 FT PATIO BOAT, THAT OUGHT TO BE REAL COZY FOR TEN DAYS. Even if you don't get the boat, you are doing a wonderful thing for the Humane Society.

This will probably not fly, but I will not donate to the Humane Society, due to the U.S. Humane Society joining with Funds for Animals and other like Peta to stop hunting and fishing. Sorry, but
that is my stand. Read articals in fish and hunting magazines regarding their stand. Bill K

Sorry, but that's my feeling also. Its a shame some animals have to be deprived of help because of the stand they have taken but these people havwe their own ajenda.

Ya let's get rid of the Humane Society all together? The Humane Society imo can associate with whoever they want as long as they get the money they need to keep sheltering these animals. I picked up my Black lab pup from a rescue and just got him a sister 9 months ago from the Humane Society. The HS in San Jose gets between 700-1000 animals a week, how do I know because I asked. That is an amazing number and the majority of those animals are put down. Maybe hopefully someday they will close the doors and we can start hunting all these dogs, cats etc. Heh BillK bet that would be great and really piss Peta off at the same time.

P.S. will go an donate a few bucks for you Gene!!!!!!

I have in the past, also obtained dogs from the shelter and even
donate bags of food to them, but when they joined forces with
Funds for Animals and started supporting the goal to stop hunting and fishing, I felt they have to much money and are useing it in
the wrong direction, so from that point on I have stopped helping them, in any way. It is sad that so many animals are destroyed each year, but that is a human problem. Everyone has a choice and
you may continue to support them, but I will not. I want to continue to hunt and fish and will not support anyone that I believe
is trying to stop that pursuit in life. And due to the nature of this
starting to get more political than fishing related I will not post or
answer another post regarding this thread. Bill K
