Boater ID Cards

Post by BASNFAN »

Anybody still not getting their Boater ID Card? I read the book, paid my $10.00, applied to take the test, took the test and mailed it in - all about mid January, and I have not heard a word since, nor received the Temp Card. I do have the app ID number and Boater ID number.

Did you have the option to download a card or certificate or something in the class you took?

I asked for the answer sheet took the test paid the 10.00 , a week later got an email that I passed with a temp card to print out , then it took a few weeks to get the card and a certificate ,

Probably since the deadline for all ages was this year , alot of folks took it at once and its slowed everything down

There's something fishy here (pardon the pun) but I took my test a few days ago and immediately upon passing got a temporary ID that I downloaded to my phone and put a copy in the boat. You might want to go back to the DBW (https://californiaboatercard.com/courses/) to the apply section and put in your 2 identification numbers. You should get an option that includes your temp. card. If not use the "contact" button and inquire about not receiving a temp via email. Response time is usually a day for email.
Hope this helps

Thanks for that info, Eddie! I put in my personal info and it immediately gave me my app ID number, which does match the ID number previously assigned to me. It also said, "Card not issued yet". Like I said earlier, I will just have to patient a little longer. Just thought, if I failed the test somehow, I think they would have notified me.
