Trash Fish Question

Want to start throwing around a trash fish. I never fish with swimbaits. For those of you guys who like fishing with Trash Fish, I’m wondering if you are fishing it literally on the bottom only or are you reeling it just off the bottom? Thanks

I’ve caught more fish on a Trashfish then all my other swimbaits combined. 8/0 3/8 oz Beast hook. Let it sink and have patience to let your line sink as well. Slow slow retrieve. It works best close to the bottom.

17-20 Flourocarbon I have several swimbait rods. But I use a Loomis frog rod for the Trashfish. Fast tip.

I echo what Dave has said, i have done best coming through cover or on the flare - so pulling or popping through grass or cover - almost like a big *** chatterbait bite.

Also work that hook entry hole and use some scent as lubricant as the palstic can be very tacky.
