Saw fish spawning in State park at Clear Lake yesterday

Here come the masses of bed fishermen. Don’t think it’s good for the fishery.

Ha! Well maybe this year there will be enough ocean food for them to not have to eat freshwater bass. We can only hope.
Re: bass are on beds on the Delta
I’ve been out twice this year saw them both times saw four last time
Re: bass are on beds on the Delta
Saw several sea lions over the weekend . So one eating about a 5 pound bass . They are smart I've watch them run the shallows and chase down the spawning bass . Worst thing for the fishery and they have no enemies in the delta water system nothing to eat our kill them beside a 22 lol. I think its time for fish and game to work on relocating our give us a season on them .
Re: bass are on beds on the Delta
I’ve only seen them eat two or three times it was always about a five pound carp. I hear they like to eat the bellies out of bass.riplip2 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 11:40 am Saw several sea lions over the weekend . So one eating about a 5 pound bass . I doubt anyone would notice if you took one out. Down here all we have is carp to shoot.

I'm serious. Now that they're everywhere and seem fearless, what can I do if I get boarded? Can I carry bear spray? Would it work?JL wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 3:33 pmPray!mark poulson wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2024 8:05 am If a sealion comes up onto my boat, what can I do, legally?

Per regulations you can use any non lethal form of deterrent. Pepper balls, paint balls, salt loads, I’ll try to find the link I found and posted a couple years ago.mark poulson wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2024 9:25 amI'm serious. Do you think bear spray would work to keep them away?
