Update from Mark Lassagne at BAM

FYI it appears there are more tournament anglers out west than some think. 777 took our survey so far. My tournament angler list is about 2000 western anglers so not sure of the exact number but bigger than some think. Bass Angler Magazine

great info....wouldn't it be great if you could get 1/2 of them 2000 anglers to show up at a tournament... what needs to be done out west to draw the numbers the southern states draw?

That's cool Mark I'd like to see all the results from your survey, That would give everyone an Idea as to how and what the fisherman are thinking out west!!! Great way to start a new circuit...

I'm glad those numbers exist in the state as a whole but So. Cal. is a different matter. Being locked up has killed the numbers along with the rings of fire retardant and mismanaged lakes. I miss being able to travel free with my boat because of the repercussions of the locked tagged water agencies agenda I would need 6 boats to do what I used to do in the way of traveling to different lakes to fish during a year... Nowadays once our freedom is freed of the shackles of the water boards agendas it would be bigger again in SoCal. That sadly will never happen.

Now the survey is about 850 which is awesome. I'm working hard to let anglers know what's going with each step of the process (there's a lot so I won't be able to post everything). I'm hopeful we have a good draw at the events.
