Has anyone seen this happen before?

Has anyone ever seen this happen? I went to get my boat ready for an upcoming fishing trip and noticed that my battery charger lights were not on and all three of my trolling batteries were not charged. I decided to pull the charger out and when I did, I looked like it exploded from the inside. I had white powder on the inside of my bilge that came from the charger.

There’s no reason to leave it plugged in Seen charging fires. When charged. Shut off everything. Stays charged

Obviously defective and didn’t shut off and overheating.
contact the PowerMania for replacement. Lucky you didn’t have a fire!

I’m pretty sure Power Mania is out of business… I hope that’s not the case for you but I remember hearing that lately. If there’s a Continental Battery Systems in your area they might be able to help you. Bummer deal but like said before you’re really lucky (or unlucky) the whole thing didn’t burn to the ground!

With many fisherman changing over to lithium systems, you should be able to get a deal on a dual pro battery charger. Check the WB classifieds. I’ve seen them up for sale cheap.

I have a dual pro you can have. I cut it out of my 96 191 champion where it was working fine and put in a new NoCo. It's a three bank system. You pay for shipping and you can have it as it's just sitting in a box waiting for me to toss the next time I am at an electronics recycle site. If your interested send me a P.M. and I'll get it gone in your direction.
