I did not realize what a Binky Bug was at the time but I learned from friends to make them myself. I used a variety of grub style baits and then using sewing needle, I would thread rubber or silicone strands thru the baits. Sometimes to sets of strands and sometimes three sets of strands, depending on the size of the bait. They worked really well. I bet they would still work so I may have to make a few up to use as soon as my hip gets better (hopefully).
Fish bite twice a day - half hour before I get there and half hour after I leave.

I've got between 3" 3 1/2" 4" & 5" Paddle tail grubs. I'm guessing 1200 grubs combined.

Predator 844 is a paddle tail that Dan Perkins showed me close to thirty years ago, I just threaded them with rubber and I was good to go!

Long ago someone was marketing them and selling them.... I thought it was one of the regular old days Nor-Cal bass guys. I use to buy them at C&C marine till I starting buying Predator grubs and making my own.

I believe it was a gentleman named Everett Binkley that was responsible for the Binky Bugs, at least that's what I've been told over the years.....I still pour them up, a little time consuming but worth it. Really the only two colors I use - Green Pumpkin with black flake, and OG (similar to 082) with purple flake. I know several folks that use to throw them on a darter head, but for me they have always worked great, split-shotting and on a texas rig....and now days you can't forget a dropshot. Image
