New PB From Lake Oroville
New PB From Lake Oroville
Caught my new PB at Lake Oroville the other day. She fell for a Berkley Dredger in less than 5' of water.
Right at 10 lbs and measured 27". =D

Nice looking fish! How often are you guys catching Largemouth on Oroville? It's kind of hard to estimate, but I would say 1 out of every 200 fish or so I get one (so not very often)....would like to hear other people's estimates. I remember catching more as a kid out there, but perhaps that's just selective nostalgia.

Not very many. Last year, I caught a total of 4-5 largemouth from January - December. This year, I have caught 2 so far. They are there, just not in good numbers.Kennortonjr wrote: ↑Wed Apr 06, 2022 8:52 am Nice looking fish! How often are you guys catching Largemouth on Oroville? Congratulations beautiful fish!
Re: New PB From Lake Oroville
Heck yeah, that is a good fish! I am so jealous!! I am old enough though that I remember if you caught a bass at Oroville, it was either a largemouth or a smallmouth.
Fish bite twice a day - half hour before I get there and half hour after I leave.
