KNIGHTS LANDING — Tom Broad of Yuba City definitely picked the right day to go fishing with Rob Reimers of Rustic Rob’s Guide Service. He landed two salmon weighing 40 and 32 pounds while anchor fishing in the Sacramento River below the Knights Landing Bridge on Nov. 29.
“The 40 pounder was the first fish we hooked,” said Reimers. “The salmon took about 10 minutes to get in, but it seemed like an hour because it fought so hard. Broad was shaking from exhaustion after fighting the fish. Both fish were bright late fall Chinooks.”
