Rust stains in live well

Post by Par »

Can anyone recommend a safe cleaner that will remove rust stains in bass boat live wells?
Thanks,

i never tried to get it out of mine, i would consider anything food grade and plastic safe a good option. My go to would be baking soda and a green pad.

Rust stains? What metal is in your livewell that causes rust stains? Try using Mr Clean Magic cleaning pads rinse with warm water using a sponge. Baking soda and warm water on a sponge would be the next step followed by a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and warm water wipe down, then fill the livewell with water, add 1/2 cup of over the counter 3% hydrogen peroxide, let sit a few hours and pump out.

Thanks for the replys.
Rust stains came with boat. Im guessing from non stainless fish clips sitting in the bottom of the live well.

Just take it slow and easy. Mr. Clean magic eraser actually contains a fine abrasive, so don't rub too hard.
