Traba Triumphs on Clear Lake 8/23 and 8/24/19
Day 1 started a little rough with his first fish knocking his phone in the water while he was trying to capture a picture. Thankfully, he was able to find another angler who let him borrow a camera so he could get back in the game.
He found 2 good spots during pre-fish and decided to start in Rodman Slough to get 5 and then move on to his next stop. The fishing in Rodman was good enough to keep him there for both days. His primary tactics were punching and frogging. He reported that the thicker, cheesier mats were holding the better fish. He said that the last 2 hours of each tournament day is when the fishing was best. His weapons of choice were the Missile Baits D-Bomb in Green Pumpkin and the River2Sea BullyWa2.
Up next for Traba is the FLW Costa Event on the California Delta. He will be fishing as a co-angler. Traba has had great success on the big boat trail to include the 2018 FLW National Co-Angler title.
