Quite an accomplishment for a 72 year old man. Makes me wonder if not for MLF does he win this?

The level of competition is pretty darn equal across the board, no matter what tour you're fishing at the level. When you drop 98+ lbs on the scales, you've not only put a whooping on the bass, but more than likely you're gonna beat anyone at that level of anglers. Congrats on the back to back W's on the St Johns River Rick Clunn!

He won 3 years ago against the old crew. As it happens at every tournament there will always be different guys at the top nobody in the departed anglers won every tournament or was always at the top. This group of Elites put on the same show that the old crew would have. They are all fishing at that level because they are good at what they do.

What an amazing sport where a seventy something can compete and beat much younger competition at the professional level.
