Humminbird 987c not finding transducer.

My 987c unit started to have an issue the last few times out. I would turn it on and it would say it could't find the transducer and go into simulation mode. I would turn it off and on and it would finally work. The last time out the unit worked perfect the first few times I turned it on and then later in the day I turned it on and it couldn't find the transducer. I checked all conections and they looked perfect and the transducer looks perfect as well. Any help would be great.
