Clearlake Which Side?
Hey guys. headed out to clearlake Friday, contemplating what side of the lake to fish. should I hit the east side or the west side? any thoughts?
Re: Clearlake Which Side?
Fished there Wednesday, launched out of Redbud about 7:30am in the south. Big algae bloom compared to our trip 2weeks ago. The further north you go, the better water you will find. The areas up around Buckingham were relatively clean compared to say Jago bay.
Couldn't tell you about the north (west ?) Lakeport side, but I think that's where the biggest part of the fish die off is.
Had a fun day, didn't catch anything big, but caught a bunch as the day progressed. Seemed like a slow start at least for me, but I was trying out different baits, and let the kid catch most of the fish. At least that's my story.
