PB 10+ Delta fish
PB 10+ Delta fish
Caught this yesterday. Scale decided to take a dump but she's a beast. I believe 10+ lbs. Released of course. New scale on order.

Thats a pig! Nice work.

All I need to get into the money would be the four I usually get along with a 20# kicker.

I caught it on a jig somewhere in Mildred Island.
My PB was probably a solid 9 lbs (I never carried a scale). It took a long time to get a 10+ pound bass. This fish was noticeably larger then any other fish i've caught. I got lucky but I put in my time. The fishing was pretty slow for me that day with the exception of that fish and another 5 lbr. This year i've decided to fish more and fish water with larger bass. Last year I finally broke 20 lbs for 5 at Clear Lake. Last Monday I got 30 lbs for 5 which amazed me but its not really as difficult as you would think if you get on a good pattern and you're fishing a good lake.

Re: PB 10+ Delta fish
There is a formula that is pretty accurate for determining the weight of a bass.
All you need to know is the length and girth of the fish.
So the next time you catch a fish and don't have a scale or a tape measure, pull off some line and cut one piece of line for the length and another for the girth.
I can't remember the formula, but someone on here can post it.
I always carry a scale because every 8 pounder that I've caught I was sure was a 10 when I pulled it out of the water.
That one in the pic sure looks like it was 10+. But like Warner Von Braun says, "One test is worht a thousand expert opinioins."
