Re: Wild West Bass Trail - Updates
I'm really looking forward to fishing WWBT this year. Is there a plan for the low water conditions on some of the lakes? Oroville and Shasta? I noticed even with the recent rains the lakes are still dropping. With the first team event a month away, if Oroville doesn't come up will they still fish there or move the event? I know the lakes are still fishable but will we able to launch that many boats? I think you guys are doing a great job with getting this circuit going and I can't wait to support it. Thanks for your hard work....

Re: Wild West Bass Trail - Updates
Many anglers expected us to run the events ourselves. This simply wasn't an option. We have got all the right guys in the right places to help insure WWBT is a success. Here is a copy of an email I sent the other day. It says some of my thoughts on the matter..
I'd like to point out that we're bringing in experienced and respected people to help with WWBT. We're even dragging Randy McBride all the way from Alabama because Randy has the experience we need and has always love working with Western Anglers. Jason Bubier was the last piece of the puzzle for us in Nor Cal. I lost sleep over this decision because Jason was my overwhelming top choice. I knew we needed him BADLY. Jason has all the experience, he's well organized, and frankly the fishermen know, like, and trust him. Directors and MC's are a very big deal in putting on the right show and running the events properly.

Re: Wild West Bass Trail - Updates
Hi Michael, yes we will still be holding the events, yes the water is low and yes it will be a challenge but it is one we have dealt with for the past several years and we will do our best to accommodate everyone. As long as everyone is patient and prepared it should go off without any problems. We launched 43 boats in just under 1hr45min and trailered them in 2 hrs. There may be some changes in launch times/wiegh-in times but that is yet to be seen. We will post more info as it becomes available and as always feel free to call me anytime.
Gary and Jason, Thank you very much for the vote of confidence, I will do everything I can to not disappoint. Now we need the numbers, like they say you build it and they will come( or is it "I will run it" hehehe), see you all soon.

Re: Wild West Bass Trail - Updates
Now go out and get a net sponsor, cause this no net rule is killing me hard to lip a fish out of a wheelchair. And before you say it, the last time other than my regular partner that my non boater tried to lip my fish he dropped it and cost us about $2500. But this sounds fun and I will be there (donating my money) having a good time.
