Striper schoolies on fire!
Striper schoolies on fire!
Over the past three weeks, schooling resident stripers have been all over the Delta system. When ya find the right school, you can have hours of action on ripbaits, paddle tails or yo-ypping a lipless crankbait for 2-6 pound fish. These fish have moved in on the shad that have shown their presence as the water temps have warmed up to 55 degrees, that have moved into the shallows. These schools can be found in all the flooded lakes, as well as isolated flats that drop right off and into the main SJ River.

Russo's is my home port, but as these fish are scattered all over the system, Launching at B&W, Ladd's, Paradise or Holland Riverside, will put ya close or right on em. You can run all the big ponds, or up & down the SJR chuckin the flats from Big Break to Ladds till ya find em. Big schools of em out on the SJR round Venice, the Reach and along the channel at Hilton's place.M3AN Bass wrote:Where do suggest for launching?
