Daiwa Tatula Reel

Post by Roger Saraiba »

Guys,
I got a chance to play and fish these reels. If you are going to be in the market for a reel soon hold out for this one. This reel is one of the best I have thrown. The have a regular for $149 and a type R for $199. I has impressed how far these reels could cast with the t wing system. For the price no one will touch this reel IMHO.

+1 on the Tatula. Got a demo as well, the Type-R 8.1:1 burner model. Rate 10 out of 10! Used it for top waters (frog, toads, buzz baits, and walkers) with 55lb braid and punching (70lb braid) at the Cal Delta. Maybe best "distance" casting reel ever. T-Wing System might change the game - REALLY!

It handles light stuff very well. The reel is about as smooth as I have ever seen. Plus the drag is over 13 pounds.
