Drop shot Worm

Post by Scoot549 »

What is your favorite worm to drop shot? I just started using some Lunker Daddy worms from one of my local stores in Merced and I am having some good success with them. I just do not know what to compare them to. I am comparing them to Wright baits worms right now. They have a good sell on both of them at the Lunker Daddy store in Merced. Buy 3 Wright baits get one free and buy 4 Lunker Daddy and get on free. But right now my favorite is the Lunker Daddy Ox blood Barney worm. What other things do you guys like to drop shot?

Any info would be great.
Thanks

I like Purple winnie and Green pumkin Candy.
I use baby bass when they first move deep at my lake.

I've done my best drop-shotting with Roboworm's straight-tail. I generally use the 6" worms, but when I sense the fish are wanting a smaller presentation I'll downsize to the 4.5".

i agree the robo's are nice, but this year I came across a bait from a guy in washington that gets bit! flat tail bait, made our own mold and pour our own baits now. they get bit very well!

I also really like the Flash Trix baits by Basstrix as well

Based on your location, if you are fishin at Don Pedro;
I have had good luck the last few months with the roboworm sculpin 4" purple weenie. Or the 4" straight tail purple weenie works too.
I have used the Pro Worms Pro gold 3" leech color 300 / small red flake and done well in the spring and fall. Although I haven't tried that one in summer since the purple weenie was working so well.

Hands down for me, Robo 4.5 inch FAT prism craw st. tail. Both a shad and craw imitator. This worm has worked for me from Havasu to the Columbia River and is killer on Shasta and Clear Lake. Get some 6 inchers too.
the best way to catch a big one is don't lose um sharp hooks set drag retie!

I haven't found any that won't work yet, but I refuse to give up on the quest..For preferences, I'll generally stick to those I can also use rigged on a darterhead..

Robo is in a class of their own. They are always the same color, size, and softness. Can't beat Robo Worms with all their sizes, shapes and colors.

Robo's versatitlity and bait variations are second to none. I am real fond of their Witch's T 6" Sculpin here on the River. They don't make that color pattern anymore in the 6" Sculpin, so I'm back to my old standby, the Iovinno S20 6" Spade tail. That Yamamoto Kutail series is an awesome dropshot bait too!
