Finally!! first double digit fish

Post by BASSTUD »

Boat broke down on the water today but i kept fishing while trying to figure out how I go about getting a tow, after all day with out a bite I dropshot an 11lb delta beast. I fished this area many times but opted to pass it bye today as i was making my milk run but end up fishing it as i was fishing my way back to a marina, funny how things work out sometimes.

If it's not already there, move the file to your pictures. Once there, click on the image and scroll to the heading that says, "Edit Pictures." Click on, "Edit pictures" then to compress images. Once there, hit resize to fit web images. That should get you to post a pic. Congrats on the catch.

Nothing like breaking the DD mark!!! Greatest feeling in fishing. I too have my personal best on a drop shot...6lb line with a 4.5" green weenie roboworm in 15ft of water! 15.25lbs!

Congrats...can't wait to see that beast!

The funny thing was about two minutes before she hit I was telling my buddy..." dude do you know how dangerous it would be to hit a big fish this close to the boat" she just kept digging to get back down into the grass, i thumb bared her twice then told my buddy "here she comes GRAB HER!" I think i was a lil out gunned, i was useing 6'6" medium heavy rod,15lb flouro, 3/0 light gauge gammy hook,6" brown crawler red flake worm flipping grass in 5" of water. Never really got into the dropshot thing i always figured it was a small fish techneq but im a believer now, at least in the prespawn.
