Rivers End Marina

Post by WackySenko »

I usually launch out of Russo's. I am thinking of launching at Rivers End for the first time. Any pros or cons about Rivers End? Do I have to worry about my truck and trailer? How much trouble getting to open water? Is there a better marina in that area?
Thank you for any info.

The launch is fine. never had any problems with all the crack heads around there. There is plenty of parking. It is about a five minute Idle out to the river. Though sometimes the fishing inside is just as good  I think you would like it its a nice change from Russos.

I always use the ramp closest to the store. I lost a transducer once while using another ramp when the boat came off the trailer.

Never had a problem there, but I prefer LazyM. Its just down the road and much shorter idle to get on pad.
Fishing should be fun.

For me I launch by where I intend to fish. I use Russo's often, but if Im fishing south why drive 25 minutes further then make a 25 minute run back to where I drove by, then again at the end of the day.
Fishing should be fun.

Dude there are no issues at Rivers end. It is a breeze to launch there (far better then Lazy M IMHO). I have lauched out of there every weekend for the last 4 years and never had one issue. There is a store if you need any last minute supplies but there is not much of a tackle selection if you are looking for fishing supplies as it is mostly snacks and drinks.

I will be in the blue bass tracker. Say hello if you see us.

Thank You all for the info. I will launch out of Rivers End on Thursday, the 11th, for my next trip to the Delta. I have never fished that far South before and fiqure that it is time I expand my areas.

For the south delta Rivers End Marina or Tracy Oasis Marina are both good. Tracy Oasis hosts amateur & open tournaments and deserve support too. The Oasis also has a well stocked bait & tackle shop. I fish the south and have had no problems at either marina.

Rivers End Marina is great!! I have launched there since the "Dirty Del's" days. Rivers End is clean, safe and has a nice 3-lane launch ramp. Though some of you have had damage to boats while launching, damage to boats while launching as a result of the ramp itself is unbelievable now. I have launched several of my boats there over the years and never had an issue, nor seen any issues related to the launch ramp itself. Much easier the Russo's IMHO. I think Russo's is great when tourneys go out of there but it's a bit tight and difficult to negotiate for newcomers. The homes(loosely put) near Rivers End, on the left side are now gone as they were built illegally, as I'm told. The other residents are friendly as well. Vehicle security has never been any issue that I've seen and I launch out of Rivers End always. I'm sure others are fine but with the security cameras around the parking and storage, the high number of "Big Money" wakeboard boats, bass boats and trucks that are in the lot on BUSY days, Rivers End is one the top launch ramps on the river!

You definitely don't have the tackle selection that others(Russo's, etc.) does but you're going to launch not buy stuff, except for drinks/snacks as was said. Great supply of that stuff! Check out coyotebait.com for tackle!

Good luck on your outing!!

Why anyone would want to go south of HWY4 is beyond me. The fishing sucks.....guys like Levy and RickD are forever beating it up and the pumps are ALWAYS on. Best to stay north and west. Not to mention the other idiot in that yellow basscat running around crazy style. Dudes a maniac.

I’ve had my boat stored at River’s End for 5 years now with no issues. They have installed a video surveillance system recently to keep the riffraff in check. The crack heads don’t want fishing gear they want stereo’s and they did get a few down there from what I hear.

And what Justin said, the way them pumps have been running down south all the fish are in LA! Seriously, even with the 101 it’s tough to keep position.
