Best place to finance a used bass boat?

Post by Rippin and Stickin »

Hey guys I have been thinking about upgrading my boat, but I can't afford a new one. Where have you guys found the best intrest rates and places to finance a used bass boat?

Key Bank will do it even for some older models, which are much harder to finance then a new boat. And I'd agree credit unions might be of service to you and they're relatively easy to join.

If you go thru your local dealer you can get a used boat [no older than 5 MY] financed for the same rates as a new one. Lots of good rates out there right now also. Rick G.

Pay cash and forget about it.

If you have equity in an automobile or two, taking a loan against them may be cheaper.

Good luck!

Credit union may be the way to go as they usually have decent interest rates on boat loans ( 7%ish ) If the boat you are looking at is older than 10 years they may not do it.

Thanks for all the info guys. My truck is payed off now so I feel the need to replace that payment  I might head down to the credit union and see what kind of rates they have, but I really don't want to go over about $15000-$18000. With that said there have been some pretty screaming deals on boats that last coulple of months. Thanks again all

Believe it or not State Farms insurance will go out longer terms then anyone and their rates are pretty competitive.

Check with the California Community Credit Union in Sacramento. They will work with you and will also try to match any rate that you can find out there.

Try US Bank. I had a loan through them on my used boat. I also have a loan through them on my new boat. They beat everybodies intrest rate. You will have to go through there Marine/RV division as Mike V.W. and I found out. Good luck.
