Sac State Bass Team Needs Help!

Post by BRASSO »

Attention Fellow Anglers:

The Sacramento State Bass Team needs your help! We thankfully, but unexpectedly landed three teams in the upcoming FLW College Fishing event at Lake Mead on May 8th. We have a couple students whose dorm rooms were not big enough to store their gear, so we need some help getting them equipped. We need to borrow 6 rod and reel combos for this event. If we break them, we will buy them. Gear needed includes:

2 Baitcasters

1 LH- top water rod
1 RH- top water rod

4 Spinning

2 Dropshot
1 Senko
1 Darthead

Thank You So Much!

P.S. Top 5 at Lake Mead would secure our spot in the Western Regional Championship at Folsom Lake October 7-9.

For anyone considering helping out the Sac State team, they are all really passionate about the sport and have impressed me and a few others since starting to fish the FLW College events.

Alec is a stand up guy and if it wasn't for a tourny that I have the same day at Clear Lake then you can bet I'd be loaning them all my gear.

Alec just came by and borrowed a bunch of ESOX Rods for his team members.

I also gave him some Puff-Ball and regular jigs from Lefty's Lures, rod socks and lure wraps from Put a Sock on It and also some Peregrine 250, Water Dog and Eagle Eye from Peregrine 250 Products LLC.

Good luck to the members of the CSUS fishing team at Lake Mead!!!

Did the team get everything they needed? I'm a Sac State alumni and will help out if I can.

Let me know if there is something else you need, if I have it the team can use it.

I was happy to help the members of the Sac State fishing team. The companies I represent have been supporting the team for the past two years with products and discounts.

Young anglers are the future of our sport and my companies and I are happy to do everything possible to support them.

Thank you to everyone who has replied to my post. I know I can always count on the bass fishing community to step up in a time of need. Norval thank you so much, we can't wait to test out these ESOX rods and Peregrine Products, and put these Lefty's Lures jigs and Put a Sock on It rod socks to good use. We've got everything we need for this weekend, thanks again for helping make this possible.

Alec,

I'm hoping that the embroidered team hats that Tim of Xtreme Lubricants is making for your team will arrive in a few days so that you can wear them to the tournament.

Again good luck to you and your team mates at Lake Mead!!!

Alec,

Sorry that the hats haven't arrived yet.

Good luck at Lake Mead.

Hope the Puff-Ball jigs from Lefty's Lures do the trick there.

I'm on my way out there. I fish for San Jose State. I might have one rod but I dont have reels. Send me a pm when you guys get there and I'll shoot you my number. I am staying at the Henderson Casino. I have tons of line if you NEED it too. Good luck out there. If you are staying at Henderson Casino, hit me up, its always fun to meet the other college guys.

I fish for state, we have about 10 fishing sponsors. Send me a PM and ur contact info I will call u about getting more sponsors. Also, if you are at Lake Mead, we can talk there also. I made a presentation and cover letter explaining what we will offer them and what we want to do for their company. My presentation shows schedule of all tournies, accomplishments, goals, mission statement, what we seek, what we offer, photos with their logos and product of fish. It seemed to work very well. I can also get you in touch with a few of our sponsors as well.

Here are a few we have...

Dobyn's Rods
Paycheck Baits
Tru Tungsten
Abu Garcia
Berkely
Bassaholics
Skinny Bear Bass Jigs
Coyote Bait and Tackle
Lucky Craft
Basstar Baits
Kevkel Spinner Baits

Not only do I fully stand behind all their products, I fish their products because I fully believe they make the best fishing tackle in the industry. Even if they didn't offer us a sponsorship I would still fish their product and stand behind it 100%. Always represent and be proud of what companies are backing you up.
