Awhile back someone posted about a new culling system called the accu-cull culling system. A lot of people including my self were kind of skeptical about the price and the durability of this new system. I made a comment in a post that he should send me one for free and I would use it and give an honest opinion of the product on Western Bass. Well I received the product and finally got a chance to use it. Here are my thoughts.
The accu-cull is made in the U.S.A. out of 100% ABS and is durable. When I talked to him on the phone he told me to drop and or throw it on ground to test it which I did without any breakage. The dials are easy to use and to read. The accu-cull mounts easily to a live well lid. It has the dials separated by either numbers or colors which is nice. I use a Cul-M-Rite or balance beam to cull depending where I’m fishing but I think the accu-cull makes a nice back up incase your batteries or scale fail in the middle of the day.
Is it worth $39.99? That is up to the individual angler to decide. I do know that manufacturing in the U.S. isn’t cheap and after using the product I would pay it just to have a back up to the electric scales. But I also have more $40+ baits then I want to count.
Any way, I am not sponsored or anything by this company, he kept his word and sent me one, now I’m keeping mine and posting the review. Here is the link to the website if you want to read about it some more.

Re: ACCU-CULL REVIEW
I played around with one inside Oroville Outdoors the other day. Seemed like it would take up fishing time to put in the weights. Can't go wrong with a cullm right and a pen and paper. seems faster.

Yea, I've done the pen and paper thing. With this on your livewell lid it is faster than getting the paper out everytime.Hollywood wrote:I played around with one inside Oroville Outdoors the other day. grease pen and your windshield is what I used to use..... cleans right off and still works in the rain..... I think I will steal Brians and test them out.

Re: ACCU-CULL REVIEW
Why not attach a piece of clear plexiglass to the inside of your livewell lid, then use a grease pencil. Just my .02.

True, and we can all fish with Bambo poles again too.Ray Vanacore wrote:Why not attach a piece of clear plexiglass to the inside of your livewell lid, then use a grease pencil. Just my .02.

Re: ACCU-CULL REVIEW
creative idea (the accucull, not bamboo poles...)
I'd be worried about having the lid up trying to dial the thing in with fish in the tank wanting to get out.
Brian - did it work for you? what were the pros and cons? did you use it on game day? if cost was not an object would you use one? thumbs up/down/sideways?

I think it is a real good deal for the guys that write down the weights of there individual fish.MikeD wrote:
