Its done using a gadget or machine. You tell the machine what type of camera you are using then shot the upper left hand photo, then the lower right hand photo. The gadget then calculates how many photos are needed and then starts snapping away. When its done it starts piecing them together. Its probably more suited for landscapes. I zoomed in and found Stockoption in attendance
