Why is FLW....

Post by fishfan »

Having the final weigh in at the wal-mart in Chico and not Oroville?
I now know why it is called fishing and not catching!

I was thinking that it might be a misprint. Who knows?

Probably more room for parking and the audience? Have you seen how packed the Oroville Wally World parking lot is on weekends?

Didn't they just replace the old Wally World in Chico a Wally World Superstore? or have they not completed that venture yet?

From the spillway launch to downtown Chico I think is a little over a half hour drive

In a boat "caravan" it would probably take around 40-45 minutes from Lake h'Oroville.

Not any worse than from Bridge Bay to Redding.

I might be wrong, but I think the Oroville parking lot is larger than the Chico one. I sure as hell wouldn't go all the way to Chico to watch a weigh in from the Lake. Let's think about it.... Oroville Wal-Mart to the Dam is about 9 miles, so to the Chico store it must be at least 35 miles
