The "BEST" Weigh-In Bag is?

Post by Grape Ape »

I keep going through weigh in bags due to leaking from tearing and blown out seams. Forget Cablea's, they don't even sell them and Bass Pro Shop has 2 worth trying....which I did and they both stink. I'd be willing to pay a few extra dollars for good quality. Any ideas?

The free one that you get from the TD?
Especially the one that has lots of pin-holes from the dorsal fins poking through the bag!
Ahhhhhh....Nothing better than scummy livewell water squirting all over you from every direction...

by far, gator grip pro series..... i use it @ my aba events.... it is a solid bag, with a mesh insert, very thick, no way to rip....... you put u'r fish in the bag w/water,go to scales, pull out mesh insert..it's that easy :D :D :D .... the water drains out of the mesh...

A ditto on the Gator Grip bag. This is what BASS is using in their Elite series.

Spoke to Brook Johnson from Gator Grip and he even said they have a bag that is white on the outside and black on the inside. The white outside reflects the heat better (keeps water cooler), although the fish should not be in the bags log enough to have water temperature be an issue. The black inside of the bag helps keep fish calmer while in the bag.

I like the idea of a mesh insert as mentioned in previous post. I would like to see more tourny circuts start using this type of bag as this would reduce handling stress to the fish during weigh-ins.

Good Fish'N,
Kyle

I second the "just keepers" bag. It is super thicka dn is zippered at the top in case you take a spill on the way to the scales. Awesome bags and very affordable!

if anyone is interested in the gator grip bag, i have a few on hand to try out....... any of you t.d's out there, you "will" want to check these out..... send me a pm and we'll see what we can do..... for my drive by weigh ins, the fish stay in livewell and whwn you pull up you put u,r fish in the mesh bag, no water.. and i weigh them in the bag.... all these bags weigh the same........ the fish are in the mesh bag w/out water for maybe "10" seconds......we do it very fast..........makes weigh in fast and easy..........
