Kelsey Bass Ranch-This Sunday 29th; Boats Needed!

Post by george »

Hey Everyone! This Sunday @ Kelsey Bass Ranch its our annual fishing tournament for Aspira Foster Kids program.
I still need about five more boats so anyone who can help us would be greatly appreciated. All you need to do is show up with an extra PFD(live Jacket) and a rod/reel combo along with a boat that has a working live well and you will have a blast.
We will be fishing from about 7:30am until noon, weigh in and have lunch. You can put in at day break and fish until we start loading up kids.
Then any boater who would like to fish some more can get back on the water and fish til dark, we might even have a little Turkey Shoot for the afternoon session.
Please call me if you can make it; George 209-402-2284.

it is near Snelling just before Lake McSwain going toward McClure point off of Hwy 59; so i would say that it is about 60 miles.
Best bet would be to map-quest it. Hwy 99 to Turlock, Monte Vista exit and head east (Left) and proceed about ten miles to Oakdale Rd and turn right, go about two miles and turn left on Turlock Rd.
Follow Turlock Rd past Snelling about six miles and be looking to the left for a big sign that says Kelsey Bass Ranch or Merced River Aggrigates and turn in.
Follow the gravel rd in for about one mile and stay to the left, it will take you right to the ramp.

Any questions call me! 209-402-2284

Thanks,
George

Please bring PFD and Terminal Tackle for both! Most of the boaters will probably not have a sponsor with them but just in case lets be prepared.
Life Jacket/Rod-Reel/Baits/Ice Chest-Drinks/Snacks and some sort of Fish Repellent; I have been out there the last two weeks and you will have to take a rest about every ten to fifteen fish or your arm will fall off :)! We caught sixty in about three hours.
Jigs- Grn/Blk, Brn/Blk, Tex-Rig green pkn/blk flake worms/Drop Shot 082wChart tail, Arons Magic Robos, Frogs.

Thanks, See Ya There!

I just picked up 30 rods and reels at Smalley's. They will be there if you need them. We are going to ask $20 per set up and I know several of us who are going to donate the rod and reel to the kids after the event. thanks Jim

Hope you were able to make it out because there is nothing worse then wondering if you missed something this fun and then finding out you missed something that was even more fun then what you were wonderen. :)
So if you missed it give me a call and i'll put you in for next year and by the good time everyone had there may be a waiting list!

Awesome event. Cool for the kids and the boaters. Special thanks to George and the C&C marine. Also I think it is pretty cool that this event in the future will be called the Don Sloan Memorial. Again thanks you guys, it was hot but alot of fun.
