Good luck down there, Alex. Mead will never look the same, if you ever decide to fish it again. Not sure what part of Texas, but watch where you step, (lots of snakes).
It might be lonely at the Top, but it's a bitch, at the Bottom !

Jerk Baits, and Craws! However if I were going to Texas I would take a trip to the Gulf, and catch some of those Redfish there. Looks like that could be a lot of fun!

It's all here:

Have fun. I'm planning a fishing trip there and have quite a few guys over there planning on taking me around in trade for some art. I especially want to head down south, as Falcon is lately one of the #1 spots in the world.

Here is a site with a rundown.

When you going? How long? What area?

Hit a good BBQ joint but stay out of the bars, especially wearing anything with California on it.

I was down there for a week last winter wearing an FOCL jacket the whole time and everything was cool, I even had a Dodger Cap on for a couple of days! But you are right, hit a steakhouse-the Texas Roadhouse has some great 10 oz Fort Worth Rib Eye's!!
