Trout aka bass snacks, maybe they did not last long!
Re: trout in clear lake?
Water's to warm for them. Every once in a while one will be caught but they figure it is one that came out of Blue Lake in a high water condition.

Re: trout in clear lake?
Well it could be 1 of 2 things if you caught one today, either someone caught it somewhere else and put it in their livewell and let it go at the lake or like Dan said high water conditions, I do not know if Blue Lake outlet has a connection to rivers feeding into Clear Lake, one thing I do know is a person that is no longer with us, he died of cancer a few years back but he would catch spots and small mouth out of Berryessa and put them in Clear Lake, he knew how illegal it was and that it could have had a very bad effect on the fishing on Clear Lake but he did not care and we all know people are catching small mouth in Clear Lake and I have caught spots there myself, if you go to Lakeshore bait and tackle there is a photo of a local with a 3+ lb small mouth, plus about 8 years ago a guy showed me a 2-3 lb that he pulled out of his livewell at State park. I have never seen a stripper pulled out of Clear Lake or a Stergeon but I don't doubt they are there, if some one would do it with a smallie or trout why not anything else?

Never heard of a spot in Clear Lake but the first Bass Tournament I went to a huge Smallie was weighed in - last one I've seen. That was 98. Heard of one trout get caught in Rodman Slough.

Caught a trout.......
in Horseshoe about 10 years ago trolling with my uncle. No doubt it was a trout. Just be worried about the dope that puts his pet alligator or crocodile in there because its getting too big for him to handle. Talk about a topwater bite with a big guy floating on a tube and a Budweiser sitting on his fat belly during the summer. D.B.COOPER
