Problem last year was the delta stamp. There are plenty of places that sell licenses out there but the stamps seem to be in short supply. Dont ask me why they dont expect to sell hundreds of them.

What a"RACKET" the state of Cali has going on.Just got off the Cal F&W site.Need a stamp for this and a report card for that and oh yeah don't forget that if you want to fish this certain river you will need a stamp for that as well. And after they charge you all this money to fish they turn around and tell you that you are "banned"from this body of water if you are from here or there. And for goodness sake don't let any rain water in your boat or we won't let you fish this certain lake either. What ever happened to going to your local fishing tackle store and just getting a fishing license and go fishing?
I will make sure I get that Delta stamp, did'nt know it even existed until Robert said something about it.Thanks

Believe me we play the victim when we go to Washington as Non-residents. I dont remember how much that thing cost. Add the Oregon license as the states do not reciprocate on the shared body of water like Cali and Arizona do on the Colorado River waters, I think it costs us Califonians more to visit your water than you pay to visit ours.

Sorry for the misunderstanding Robert.I was refering to the entire system down there not the tournament stuff.Up here you pay for one license and that covers everything(warm water, salmon, steelhead, sturgen, ocean and all rivers and lakes)for about $24.00 a year.Down there it seems you need stamps and other stuff all over the state depending on where you are at or what you are fishing for.And recently I have recieved many e-mails about the "mussual" problem that is resulting in you guys not(being banned) being able to fish certain bodys of water.Just sounds like you guys are getting a raw deal.
As for the river thing with Washington and Oregon up here if you do not plan on going into Oregon when you are fishing the bottom pool you do not need a Oregon license. But if you plan on crossing that imaginary plain that goes into Oregons sloughs or bays then you do need a license for Oregon.Other wise you can fish all the Columbia and can even fish the Oregon banks if you want.

Thanks for the important info about the stamp.GB...Jim

Thanks Jim, Just venting as well. I am sure when California invades the Northwest Cal DFG will be there on the banks waiting to check our licenses for the proper stamp and our boat hulls for Quaggas. Actually Washington FG seemed to be just as concerned as our waters are down here about the mussel. Sat through that half hour presentation last fall at the Columbia NG Series. Seemed like it took two hours but I am sure it wasnt more than a half hour. Good luck at the Delta.
