Installing a Flatfoot for a Motorguide this Friday PM. Should I anticipate any special problems? Thanks for the assistance in advance. Corky

Have several SHARP blades to your saw, and take your time on the cutting.

lay it out with the template, trim the carpet then lay it out on the decking and cut inside the lines you draw with a Sharpie marker. Use a file to make any adjustments in the opening. make sure the drain hose supplied directs the water into the bilge, then, use silicone to seal the edges of the opening and push the Flat Foot in.

Best tip I can give you is to have a shop vac handy and to have someone run it while you cut. Saves on the mess a little.

Best thing you will ever do for your back.

Remember - Measure, once, twice, maybe even three times and cut once. I installed my comfort-troll a year or so ago, it has been the BEST addition to my boat to date.
Don't ask about my username, all I need to say is check yours and check them often.

Not sure if you've seen these instructions yet but you may find them helpful.

Heres my tip of the day. First get a hole sale and drill a 2 inch inspection hole where you have your pedel now. Look around inside before you make you big cut to check for anything in the way. Also, if you chicken out the just put the pedel back on the hole.

It saved me on my triton as i had a crossmember to get around from my original placement and had move it back a couple of inches.

I think therefore I fish.
