Zara spook

Post by brambo0311 »

The super spook I usually swap out the front and back hooks for stronger ones size for size. You think its going to screw up the action if I put a 2/0 on the front and back? I ran out of the other size. Has anyone tried those magnum and super magnum spooks? They look bigger than my punkers.

Thanx, I will give it try monday. I heard franks is having some striper trouble. Thought I better be prepared with some spooks, punkers, crackers, and triple trout and stonger hooks. You would think a 10 to 95 dollar bait would have the best hooks. I honestly dont think there is a bait out there that I dont have to modify some way.

If you change out the hooks also go to a bigger split ring  We go to a 4x - 2/0 hook with a bigger split ring for the stripers at San Louis. The hooks are Eagle claw lazer sharp. Mike Matthews

For stripers I go with a 2/0 in the front and back and remove the middle hook.
