Simi Valley trolling motor reair

Post by DougH »

What is his phone number. I have a friend with one of those problematic motorguides... Perhaps he'll come over to the Minn Kota now... muahahahaha

Thanks Doug!! I talked to Scott today, great guy and he's gonna check it out Friday.

Just to see if anyone else has/had the same issue..it's a 24V 82 lb Motorguide. Nothing is wrong the TM itself, it's the foot pedal. When it rocks back and forth it squeals and groans like a bassturd. The pin is straight, no burrs and it's lubed so I dunno. Anyone else seen that problem?

It's good to see Scott's phone number is working, he will fix it for you.

I just purchased a 24 / 82 and the TM button keeps sticking. I’ve almost fell in the drink a few times. . How do you fix this? Sorry to hijack your thread Rob.

You're not hi-jackin at all Dan.

Let's see...try takin your foot off the pedal!!! Just kidding! I would suggest a lil WD40, but don't overdue it. If that doesn't work...duct tape!!!

Ahh yes, Duct tape, the fix all. :) . I'll give the WD a try. Thanks, and good luck with the squeaky pedal.

Here's a quick albeit (sarcastic) fix for your problem.
Throw all the MG Trolling Motors overboard and buy a Minn Kota.

Problem solved...........
Sorry, just my opinion

Just the easy lift option is worth the change over by itself...
