Who is the Heavyweight Bass Champion? Is it one of the Bass Posse? Is it one of the Bass Outlaws? Is it one of the other Big Bait specialists? Or is it someone who we have never even heard of before? Letâ€™s find out and settle this once and for all.

Bobby, already proved it year's ago, on the Delta for $50,000, way before christine was on the scene

Bobby Barrack won a big basstournament when West Coast Bass had it on the delta, But I didnt see his name on your list. And he won $50,000.00 not $10,000.,,.So yes there has been more money for a big bass tourny

That is Freakin' awsome. I wish I lived close enough to get in on something like that. That is my kind of tournement. Not no "ha ha my five keepers weighs more than you ten pounder so I win." I would not fish cause those guys are on a whole different level. I would love to sit in the back of the boat and just soak it all up.

should be some big fish taken in Jan. Is each official gonna be taping? I'd pay to see this go down!

You forgot the most important angler of our modern time. Randall, our expert 10 pound plus angler who graced this website with his challenges to all a few months back is obviously game for this. I'm sure he can get $200 from his mom's purse to cover the entry.

Besides the above mentioned, I think that Nico Raffo deserves some love in this thread. This guy is one of the best trophy bass anglers up North and deserves some recognition.

50 boat field???

You'll barely get any of the "Top Big Bass" fisherman in there with a field that small and it sounds like it will be a lotto to get in in the first place.
Maybe there should be an invite first to see who you can get instead of just taking anyone and increasing the field to 100 (20K sounds a lot better than 10K). 50 invites and 50 open spaces for the off the radar type guys.

You might see more Big Bait fisherman in the end? Just a couple thoughts that came to mind.

Perhaps you should check the size of Casitas...

I don't think a hundred Big Fish guys want to take numbers and wait to fish areas

50 will be crowded as it is...kinda like making everyone fish south of Red Bud at Clear Lake (that still might be a larger fishable area). Especially if So. Cal. continues on the no rain pattern

I like Bassrippin's idea. I'd put up $200 for a tourney here in the north state. And how about a secret lake format like B.A.S.S. did when it first started the Classic. That way it makes it fair to all up until the announcement. Maybe its a lake you've fished, maybe not, either way it would add some excitement to it.

if 10K is not enough money.....must be nice to turn you nose up at this.

I have nothing but respect for you guys up north.....but

this is not clear lake (size)

its also not the delta

its a small impoundment with heavy pressure, and big *** bass

if you can make it and and can catch big fish...then bring your mojo down.

this is the first year of this event and so its at Casitas
the location will change every year...that way there are no excuses
perhaps it will be up north.

a big bass hunter can catch a big bass ANYWHERE!!!
