Re: What are your favorite jigs too throw
I have just started using pepper jigs. I am very impressed with the quality of their jigs.
Re: What are your favorite jigs too throw
I am currently throwing two brands of jigs well three....
1.) Flippin and Pitchin Arkie head design TNT Wadda Jig - Round Rubber, stout hook, great paint and head design. 1/2 - 3/8ths
2.) Bass Patrol - Football head jig in Round Rubber, gammie hook, in 3/8 - 1 oz
3.) A small little puff ball finness jig that I picked up at Troy's in round rubber \ silicone 3/8 - 1/2oz gammie hook.
As you can tell I fish heavier jigs with Round Rubber, I have not fished the Lefty's so I can not comment on them.

I throw mostly football jigs on deep structure. For that I like a Heavy Gator Gatorbug (www.heavygator.com).
For shallow fishing I like an Eakins Jig or some other small profile jig with a big trailer.

Re: What are your favorite jigs too throw
Mark the jigs I had you custom tie for me are some of the best I've ever seen! I was up at Clear Lake saturday and must have caught 30-40 fish on 'em....I've yet to use them at the Delta so we will see this week...I've been throwing Revenge jigs,Wadda's,Mop jigs,Peppers,Rodstrainers,Bobby D's,Picasso's and quite a few more the last year and have even had a go at tieing my own but nothing seems to look as full or lively in the water as yours do! hopefully you got my 2nd order out today

Rodstrainer football heads for all lakes and Wadda jigs for the delta. I still have the first Wadda jig that I got and have not lost it although most of the paint is gone off of it but it still catches fish. The Wadda hands down for the delta it pulls though everything and I have only missed 2 fish on it in my last 7 times out.

I gotta couple of new Wada's in a different color of 3/8oz and nearly cleaned out Extream yesterday of the Peppers in 3/8 and 1/2 oz.
I was able to sneak that bag and put it in the gun safe before my wife or boys saw it.
Looked at trailers -- just decided to get the Peppers while they were still there.

You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

Re: What are your favorite jigs too throw
That's a big diamond bar Cooch! I usually just go with the pounder with a nice little red for a trailer!
I use to work at the harbor in Princeton in high school. One of the benifits were getting to go out on the boats on my day off. That was the mid 70's. We really use to get them. Fish in excess of 50lbs. were common.
It's sad now when I read some of these fishing newspaper that celebrate fish that are barley legal. We didn't go shark fishing back then either!
I regress and forget this is a bass fishing website-sorry!

I had to come back...I know...

I was about to comment on the 3/4oz Kastmaster. I've been catching some flatties off the beach with the 1oz versions lately. All of them have been short so far though.MIKE TREMONT wrote:That's a big diamond bar Cooch! I usually just go with the pounder with a nice little red for a trailer!
