Post Pedestal/Seat replacement for Ranger

Post by rickd »

Have an old 88 Ranger 375 and the post doesn't hold up my fat arse anymore.

Anyone know what model to replace it with? Can't seem to find a reference guide?

Thanks,
rickd

I have a 374V 1989.......I bought one at Wal-mart 3/4 pin stlye, it works fine...you do not have to have the 3/4 screw in type. the 3/4 pin type works ok........on my Ranger anyway...

The Swivl-Eze® Lock'N Pin Pedestal allows the user to remove seat and put on base plate for a low position, allowing power pedestal to store easily. Aluminum with satin finish. Fits all 3/4" pin-type bases. Seat mount and base not included.
Lock’N Pin Base sold separately and can be found through item search at item number 38-528-218-00 (standard) or 38-528-220-00 (threaded).

Lock’N Pin Seat Mount sold separately and can be found through item search at item number 38-528-216-00

Pedestal Base mounting bolts. My elderly Ranger needed all four bolt, washer and nut sets to be replaced. Older Rangers, and probably yours, too, have the bolt ends and nuts inside of the front livewell. If any moisture has been inside of that livewell, from rain, use as livewell or cooler, your bolts and nuts are likely rusted. Use a mirror to check their condition. I replaced mine with stainless. Had to drill out several because they were frozen. Same deal on the rear pedestal mounts. Don't find out the hard way when your partner ends up in drink!
