If any of you are members of the Palmdale Fin and Feather club and plan on using your boat this season you better give the club a call or show up to the board meeting tomorrow night 1/6/09. Letâ€™s just say its Casitas all over again â€¦â€¦28 day quarantine.

its a shame!!!!! soon enough a lot of lakes will be turning to this...

Iâ€™m hoping that the club will at least allow us to do the same as Casitas with the locks and being able to keep our boats at home. From what Iâ€™ve heard they want us to leave our boats on the lake property for the 28 days. With all of the crack heads running around stealing I wouldnâ€™t feel good about leaving anything of value out in the open for any period of time.

yeah I understand that completely! I hope that you don't have to do the lock out system at all period and just wisen up to the facts that the quagga isn't going to get in there from boats or people fishing that lake.

its irritating...now I am stuck fishing Casitas, which is ok and fine, but I miss fishing the other lakes tournaments with my old man Larry Elshere...we loved to fish Cachuma and such but no longer can we.

And so it begins . Just returned from the meeting and the lock out will start before the season opener . One problem is the opener is at the end of the month . The board assured us they would have a temporary system in place by this weekend and the boats allready inside the property will be good to go . Training for the inspections will start Friday .
Second problem is what about the members that do not know about the new restrictions that are going to show up on the season opener . I would imagine there will be some pretty upset people .
Sounds like the lock and seal system will eventually be very simular to the system at Casitas . One can only hope the two lakes will share the right of passadge with the boats taged . Wishfull thinking .

Well after attending the club meeting tonight there's gonna be about 2,000 pissed off members come opening day. I feel sorry for all of the L.A. area members that have no clue to whats going down.
