Nicasio Reservoir

Post by getalife »

Has anyone ever fished this body of water? I drove by today and it looks pretty good. The signs say that you can only fish from the bank, so... what I was really wondering is... has anyone done any "after hours" float tubing in this lake?

If your talking about the lake that is west of Petaluma there is no boats/tubes of any kind the last I was told. Great catfishing and the crappie fishing is great the right time of year. Was told the bass fishing was ok if you like to walk around the lake shore.

Thats the lake I'm talking about. It looks like it would be exhausting to walk around it fishing from shore (at least when your 40), and I realize that you cannot use tubes or boats but I was actually asking about the "unauthorized" type of float tubing. Anyone done it? I personally would never break the law (LOL) but Im sure there are nice fish in there and would love to hear about them.

I used to go out there quite a bit several years ago. Did good with a blade. Some nice fish were caught, but the TICK problem became too much. Was not worth going back. Place is crawling with ticks. D.B.COOPER 8)
