new to Sacramento looking for a pond to fish for bass

Post by KRBEE66 »

Hey I am looking for some ponds around the Sacramento area to do some bass fishing. I have no boat so I am looking for something that can be fished from the bank. If there is anyone who can lead me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated

Rancho is tough right now. Go get a float tube and start hitting ponds. Mather AFB is good. Tons of small ponds in folsom. "google earth is your friend" good lake behind Folsom high school. These pond largemouth are tough right now, it's hit or miss and 90% miss right now.

Lincoln..the pond right across from McDonalds on 65 is good and if you look at a satellite view, there's a couple more in that chain that are accessable.
Also the dredger ponds outside of Marysville has been opened to the public for a few years,
there's one along the American River, bout a mile down from Sunrise Bridge on the Fair Oaks side.
There's also many bank accesses at our many lakes and the delta.
