The Concessionaire literally has ZERO control of the BOR, a Federal Agency. if anything they are pushing the BOR to open the lake to boaters so that they can make their money, pay their lease, employees etc...

The whole thing is a cluster with none of the agency's or authorities playing by the same set of rules and standards. In the end the Boaters and Concessionaires lose and will lose big. Take your ire out on the State Governor and the agency that was funded to inspect and protect against mussels

Please open this lake up so all the tournament organizations can stop beating the hell out of Don Pedro. They're completely destroying the spawn this year.

I’m sorry guys. I love Melones’s too. But you need to realize that the BLM is a federal
organization & the state government has nothing to do with its operation. If you want to cast blame at least blame the right people. Hopefully you’ve heard the Feds have fired 1000s of people & that effects service at all federally run operations including NM, Shasta, etc. etc.

Are you sure about that ?
Coordination requirements – Federal agencies like the BLM are legally required to coordinate with state and local governments when making land use plans.
Advisory roles – State and local officials can participate in planning processes, give input on land use, and raise concerns.
Environmental laws and regulations – State environmental policies sometimes overlap with federal rules, giving states a seat at the table.
State agencies – Wildlife, water, and fire agencies often work closely with the BLM on things like hunting rules, wildfire response, and habitat conservation.
Public pressure and politics – Governors and state legislators can influence BLM decisions through public campaigns, lawsuits, or by working with their congressional delegations.

I have not heard anything from CA. As they love restrictions and shut downs
