I got the opportunity to fish I with a national level pro one day last year and he predicts there won’t be anyone tournament fishing for a living within the next ten years.

I hope he's wrong, but it does make sense. Everywhere will be just like the West Coast is now.

He makes some very good points !! Look at the tournament circuits out here in the west !! WON Bass is gone, 100% gone, WWBT-gone at least for now,. These circuits couldn't draw the anglers needed for the better payouts because they doubled the entry and cut the payouts by 50% !!! Back in the 90's you could enter a Pro-Am as a Pro for $500 and 1st place was a $40k Ranger !! Then it became $750-$1200 entry and 1st place was $10,000 !!! And they had to draw 150 boats for that !!! I have friends on the Major Pro Tours that have been for years who loose sponsor money each year that don't know if they can continue. One of my good friends is a B.A.S.S. "Legend" and has had to quit fishing the tours due to continued loss of sponsor funds. It's pretty sad, and it's only just begun.

Randy’s video really hit the nail on the head ! the sport of professional bass tournament fishing has become fractured ! with anglers going back and forth between organizations it’s even been impossible for me to follow and try to keep up ! it’s nothing like it used to be back in the day !
