Megabass rod
Has anybody used one of the megabass flippin rods i was considering a F7-77 randy blaukat model. From what i hear about the other megabass rods is that they are very well balanced and have nice fast tips for casting . I was just wondering if the bigger rods are just as well balanced.

Re: Megabass rod
Sure if you break it there is no warranty stick w/ american rods w. warranty's! To get a megabass repaired you have to send it back to japan 150.00 postage so they can decide if it is repaible at your expense. I have had one was not that impressed I suggest a GLX IMO the rod I had 6'8" H was not very light but very expensive

not your ordinary stick...
I have the F7-711X Seven Eleven and wrote a review for it here:
F7-711X Review
Fantastic stick.. the power of the FSR905X GLX, yet with the tip of a rod more like the MBR844C GLX.
I think the one you're considering might be even more special with the split grip design and all. These rods are now available domestically through Megabass USA so the shipping costs are no more than purchasing a rod from anyone else here in the US mail order. Warranty claims are also handled through Megabass USA and while their warranty isn't the most aggressive, it is better than not having any coverage at all as was the case previous to Megabass USA's decision to bring the rods stateside.
The Megabass Warranty was formerly, only for those rods purchased domestically within Japan. To make a claim from the US, you had to rely on the policy of the Japanese Tackle store from whom you purchased the rod to help you with the claim.
Feel free to shoot me an email or PM if you have any further questions about the Megabass lineup. I have a few other of their rods as well. They are very pricey and not for everyone, but if you appreciate exquisite detailing and fine craftsmanship, a Megabass rod is truly something to behold.
