Hi Lowrance Gurus,
I have a Lowrance Elite 9 Ti and am considering purchasing an Ultrex Trolling motor. What capabilities will I have with the built in transducer on the Ultrex? I realize I will not have side scan. Will I have conventional sonar and down scan capability? I currently have a Totalscan transducer mounted on my Fortrex and honestly I do not use the side scan very often. I know that I will need two adapter cables to connect.
Thanks!
Pat

You will ONLY have traditional sonar. MK offers an Ultrex with MEGA DownImaging, but it works only with Bird.

If it was my boat, I would take your totalscan ducer off the old motor and put it on the Ultrex. Even though you don't use the side scan that much, there are times when going down a bank if you watch the deep water side of the scan, you will see some sort of structure that you can throw to. These are structure objects that may have not been fished much, if at all, and you can catch some big fish off those structure objects that have moved out there because of all the guys fishing the shoreline. I've done it in tournaments and the side scan has made me alot of money before.
