Lake Ranch reservoir

I live in the San Jose area and I have been looking for new places to fish. I came across Lake Ranch Reservoir the other day. I hiked the 1/2 mile hill to get there and it was low. Small. very small fish but I did get a few bites.
Has anybody ever had any luck there? Anybody got any suggestions as to new places to fish other then Calero, campbell perc ponds and the few other local places.
