Have any of you fished there? And if so, I'll be headed there in a couple weeks and wanted to know how that lake fishes. Any information would be much appreciated...this is a rare trip for me, and I wouldn't be beatin' up anyones water. If you could PM me or reply, that'd be great. Thanks!

Re: Lake Las Vegas
Its all private. I doubt people like Celine Dion care much about fishing. Its good for taking water from lake mead and thats about it.
You can throw a shoe string can catch fish as long as you either know someone that lives there or are staying at the hotel

Yes, I'll be staying at one of the resorts on the lake. If you're staying there, can you launch a boat on it? I've heard you can, and I've heard you can't. Have you fished the lake before?

I have not fished the lake. The only boats allowed on the water are those you can rent from either the Loews resort or the MonteLago resort. Loews only has paddle boats and canoes and MonteLago at electric boats. I am sure not too many people fish that lake so i bet it is pretty good. Also, Lake Mead is about a 10 minutes drive from there so if you wanted to use your own boat, go there.
Re: Lake Las Vegas
It fishes just like any other desert lake. purple, oxblood and green worms. 7 inch power worms in purple and camo texas rigged and 6-4" drop shot. Jigs brown and purple, and watermellon. Have fun there are some big fish in that lake.
Take a kid fishing, See what happens!!!

Re: Lake Las Vegas
Thanks for the help gents. I contacted the lake, and I guess even if you're staying on the lake (and not a resident) you can't launch a boat. But I guess I'll just be renting. I appreciate the advice and heads up...I'll give a report when I return if you'd like. Have a good one.
