I'm new to the state and I live close to Lake Balboa. I've seen the lake but havn't fished it. Is it worth the time and effort? If so, what can you catch and what kind of rigs would you recommend?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
Is Lake Balboa (Van Nuys) worth fishing at?
Re: Is Lake Balboa (Van Nuys) worth fishing at?
It can be good on summer mornings for Tiplapia (sp?)
Light line (2 lb Test) a few split shots a small hook (#6 I think is what I used) and a small chunk of earthworm.
I caught around 100-200 fish a day, small fish but a few nice size ones. And they all fight great for there sizes.
