Ok guys I'm needing a little help deciding on a new set of electronics that I want to put in the boat. The debate is between the Humminbird 797c2 SI and the Lowrance LCX-28CHD, both with their own preloaded Navionics or Hotmaps. I like the new side imaging technology that Humminbird has, but is fairly new. And we all know what Lowrance has done over the years, and the name they have built for themselves.
I know this topic has come up before but I just want to have some different opinions because I don't want to end up saying "I wish I would have got this one because of this or that one because of that".
I could use all the help I can get, I would hate to screw this one up.
Thx

Re: Humminbird vs Lowrance
I'm in the same deal. I'm gonna work more OT and get both a lowrance 28 and the humminbird SI. Can the Humm SI be run on the trolling motor ?
This way I can slap it onto my jet rig for skinny water...
I'd like to put the 28 indash on my triton, I have been told it will fit where the currant x15 is ? I also have been told the heat fins on the back need more "air" and the dash might not be the right deal ?
comments ?

Re: Humminbird vs Lowrance
thats my plan then. any tips on where or who do the install on the indash ? Im figurin I need to run new wires for the lowrance 28.
what do ya think about runing it in the dash as far sa heat ?
I might would go hummin bird all the way around. in dash and troll.
x15 has gotta go asap.
