What type hook and size are you using for TEXPOSED 5", 6", and 7" Senkos?

4/0 for the standard and 6/0 for the two larger sizes. And I usually use Gamakatsu EWG superline hooks.

2/0 EWG for wacky rig in motherlode lakes. I feel if you go larger it is only for larger fish. I tend to hangup and break off a lot with the exposed hook but when you hook up the fish is not coming off. Just IMO.

5" 3/0
6" 4/0
7" 5/0

I use EWG's. Some guys don't like these hooks, I have no issues with missed fish with them.

I have tried to use some bigger 6/ and 7/0 hooks on the big 7 inchers, but still find the 5/0 to be most affective...So add another +++1 For Tin Can

Anyone try the G-Mag hook for the big 7's? It works great when flipping tules or heavy cover.

I have had ZERO problems loosing fish on a senko . I use only 6" and 7" senkos for 6" i use 3/0- 5/0 OFFSET (not ewg) depending on the fall i want i may use a ewg superline hook to give it a faster fall. For 7" i use 4/0 and 5/0 OFFSET if i am around heavy cover i will switch to the ewg superline or the G MAG to change the fall rate. wacky style i use my homemade style WW hook a #4 ewg with 30# florocarbon weed guard tied like a fly. the wacky style is deadly and hard not to use. Good luck senko fishing bud !!

The Senko has been very good to me. It's been my number one sight fishing lure. Caught a 10lb 6oz a few years back, my biggest bass sight fishing. I've played around with different hooks, mainly the EWG and Sugoi. Just curious what others are having success with. Sometimes anglers get stuck on a particular hook and then come to realize that there's something more effective out there. For me that was using EWG trebles a few years back. I started using them and then found that they bent out more easily than round bends, so I went back to the round bends.
