Helix 5 SI - which Navionics Plus product to purchase?

I'm confused as to which Navionics Plus chip to buy? The compatibility chart says the 2GB Global Region, but the US & Canada is 16GB which is not listed as compatible. How can the Global have less (2GB vs 16GB) mapping data than the US & Canada card and be the right one to get?

The us and canada comes pre loaded with the entire US and Canada data on it. (approx 7GB of data, which is why is needs the 16GB card) When i tried using this on my Helix 5 i had issues. (the GPS map would keep disappearing and then showing back up and disappearing again) I found a thread on another forum where someone had the same issue and said it was because the file was too large for the helix 5 to handle.

Sure enough, I wiped the chip clean, and then only downloaded my local lakes, and now it works normal!

Botom line, if you do purchase the US and Canada one, you will probably need to clear the chip and only download the areas you want as it seems the little helix 5 cant handle the enormous amount of data that comes pre loaded on the US/canada version.
